Some people say this movie was just made to make money, but I believe they were trying to make a new beginning for the Alien series. The idea of the story of this film is not bad but somehow it back fired at the end.
The story is about a science leader (played by Brad Dourif) discover blood samples from Fury 161 and succeed to clone the blood of Ripley, Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) is now no longer a normal human, she is now half human half alien or human with alien strength and acid for blood.
The reason why to clone her is to get queen alien that was inside her when she died and therefore breed aliens with host delivered by space pirates, one of them named Call (Winora Ryder) has been sent after Ripley to kill her and the aliens. But the aliens escape and start to kill everyone, now Call and Ripley must team up to defeat the aliens and stop them for reaching earth.
So far it's an OK movie, and the action is very exciting, but the movie falls down at the end because (SPOILER ALERT) after a while the queen give birth to Human alien or New Born alien and it really is a letdown, it was supposed to be a new threat like Ash was in Alien, but Ash was a robot buid by the company, this thing is really not necessary to try to steal the show from the other monsters and fail special when it has human eyes and baby face.
But all in all the movie is OK, the cast and crew did a fine job for entertaining. The big score I give to Michael Wincott who play the role of Elgyn the Pirate leader. He really did an awesome performance like Deckard in Blade Runner, his role though is a small part but I love it I wish I could see more of his character.
Verdict? See it
