belly-aching laughter,

one word- funny! i simply couldnt stop laughing at the stories. like the first series, the are several stories which stand on their own, and in this case, one for each of the manin characters. a worthy addition to my manga collection! Brilliant!!! it leaves me simply hungry for more, and i cant wait for the rest of the series- like most of the tenchi muyo franchise, its bound to be fantastic!

The written context of this Shonen Jump still maintains Masaki Kajishima's magic thanks to the flare of Okuda. The only reason why I gave it a rating of 2 stars, is because of the damaged state the used book arrived in.
Now, most people would say: "It's a used book! And it cost you £1.50 what did you expect?!". All valid points, until you consider that: I've bought used books for £0.01p (e.g. The Kite Runner), and they've looked in way better condition than what Thiftbooks have sent (I believe this book was pre-owned by Saint Paul public Library (They must have used this book to beat love struck teenagers with, or something along those lines.) Never the less, Okuda's adaptation of the Tenchi story is pretty humorous, but just make sure you buy this book brand new.

Tenchi returns and we hope is here to stay! The first book introduces all the main characters for first time fans...and has a story dedicated to each character...excepct tenchi! However, anyone looking for a big storyline won't probably find it until book two...as this book is mainly for humour...each story though is charming and well-written! and thankfully, no radical changes to the art like the 'tenchi in tokoyo' series! same artist, same great stuff! buy it!
