A timeless heroine, Alice is quick witted, determined, and resourceful. In her extraordinary adventures she meets a series of unforgettable characters, from the bossy White Rabbit to the grinning Cheshire-Cat and the mad Hatter, all of whom are as famous as Alice herself.

This gorgeous edition includes Sir John Tenniel’s much-loved illustrations with their original colouring which define the authentic image of Alice as blond haired with blue stripy stockings. It also includes a foreword by Philip Pullman, one of today’s most popular and distinguished children’s writers.

5.0 out of 5 stars a beautiful book 11 Feb 2013

I bought this book as a christening present for my grand daughter and it proved to be very popular with all who have seen it. The presentation is excellent the actual cover of the book is a different pattern to the slip cover and it is extremely attractive. The print size is large a good font for young readers. The illustrations many in full colour and some the original Tenial drawings are very entertaining.I would recommend this edition to anyone wanting a seriously classy edition of the Lewis Carroll story.
