I loved this book, it is so informative, I read twice and will read it again for there is so much information in here. As the Author says we all have a superficial knowledge of almonds and that they are now being used for so many things, but I for one didn't know that there was more than one type of almond oil. I will definitely try it on my skin and the culinary variety in cooking and salads. The cover illustration is lovely, I have been to the Algarve at this time of the year and it is as the author says, a snow scene of blossom. Very evocative. Also visitors usually buy the marizipan sweets but how many know of the different varieties and their origins. I would definitly recommend this book.
