Filmed live at the Royal Festival Hall in London, during Alfie Boe’s sell out tour; the star of Les Miserables and the much loved tenor showcases his mesmerising and outstanding voice in his very own show Bring Him Home.
With an impressively diverse collection of tracks including the impassioned "Maria" from West Side Story, Ewan MacColl’s heartfelt "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", a truly breathtaking rendition of "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserables and an emotional performance of Martina McBride’s ‘In My Daughters Eyes’. Plus, Alfie performs a wonderful medley of James Bond theme tunes, and uniquely inspired renditions of tunes from Moulin Rouge, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and much more.
Alfie is also joined on stage for some unique performances by his very special guests, including Matt Lucas, Melanie C, Tom Fletcher from McFly, Claude-Michel Schonberg and Shakira Riddell-Morales. The peoples favourite tenor, delights with a truly magical performance.

Format:DVD
I know that this dvd is not released yet but couldn't resist. I saw this in the cinema so generally speaking the DVD should be pretty much the same thing. It was absolutely amazing. Yes we would expect a note perfect performance from Mr Boe but what I was not expecting was his side splitting humour.!. At the begining it was clear that he was nervous but as the show progressed it was almost like a comic stand up show between each performance! and the prescence of Matt Lucas certainly did nothing to limit the fun as you can imagine. A genuinely lovely man with great character-- and I wasn't even witnessing it in first person merely admiring the man on screen.
Now of course one must discuss the actual musical merit of this concert even if the answer is pretty obvious. It was superb. He sung nearly every song on both of his newest cd's note perfect. The orchestra was magnificent and the songs allowed them to display their talents to the full. My only tiny disappointment was that he sung nearly every song yet left out music of the night-- but you can't have everything can you. Of course he had a les mis section of the night and was joined by a few special guests- some which were surprisingly good and some who blew your mind.
The ending was deffinitely not what i expected but was pure genius. Mr Boe set to prove that he can take any song and make it classical and operatic and he did just that.
BUY THIS!!! you will be rewarded with classic songs delivered note perfectly, an enchanting orchestra, comic relief-- needed after a few quite depressing songs, and a special performance from Mr Boe himself ON THE DRUMS!!! EPIC!!!!

I was lucky enough to see this live, in fact just a few seats away from Matt Lucas and it is a night I will never forget. Aside from the stunning performance of Mr Boe, the guests certainly made it a unique experience. I had to pinch myself that I was so close to the creators of Les Miz. Unmissable

I, also, felt let down by this dvd. I saw this superb tour live in Blackpool and Preston and I am so glad that Mel C and Tom McFly did not guest at these venues!! The lovely Laura Wright was a guest at most of the dates on his tour and I'm appalled that the producers chose to edit her performance for the dvd. (Melanie C totally ruined this dvd for me!!). Perhaps in hindsight the producers should have waited until a later date to record the dvd. Even the audience appear a little subdued at this performance - perhaps the recording should have been made from Blackpool - it being the nearest venue to his hometown and where the audience really did "BRING HIM HOME".
However, I have to say that despite Alfie's nerves at the start of the concert he is such a truly amazing artist and as one of his biggest fans I am looking forward to his next tour in 2013.

Very Entertaining
