About the Author
Ed McDonough has raced saloons, sports cars and single seaters from the late 1950s, and took part in World Championship sports car races in the 1970s, when the Alfa Romeo T33s were competing. He was UK Chairman of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club for 10 years and contributes to Autocollezioni, Auto Italia and other specialist journals. Peter Collins is a motoring journalist and photographer, and is founder and editor-at-large of Auto Italia magazine.

Bought the Tipo 33 book sometime ago. I have always wanted a good book about the Tipo 33, and this nearly hits the spot.
The book is well written and well illustrated with plenty of photos. However, some of the photos in the 'Driving the cars' chapter seem a bit repetitive; the car on the same bit of road taken from a slightly different angle. Are some of the older photos cropped? I don't know; it would be nice to see some photos being able to 'breath'; I'm sure there are some beautiful Targa Florio shots and hill climb photos out there somewhere.... I'm not a fan of Veloce's presentation, with odd red strips and garish advertising in the book.

This book is a must for all Alfa Romeo enthusiasts and as far as I am aware the only comprehensive publication covering these fabulous racing cars. Very well illustrated and detailed as well as being a good read. Highly recommended

A very Comprehensive Treaty on these great Cars and a book destined to be highly Collectable in the future. Covers a very evocative Period of Racing. If you can buy a Copy, at a reasonable Price, as on Amazon now.....get it.
