This book was published in 2010, so it's a fresh view of what's going on at Alfa Romeo. Thankfully, the author doesn't focus on the brand's long and illustrious racing career, like most books about Alfa Romeo do. Instead, he focuses on the cars produced and sold to the public during the past century, right up to the new MiTo and Giulietta. The book is compact, has excellent quality paper, a tough binding, and superb, high quality, mostly color photographs. It's broken down into six chapters:
1. The Origins, Darracq and the Anonima Lombarda
2. Nicola Romeo and the Period Between the Two Wars
3. The Post-war Period and a State Owned Alfa Romeo
4. The Alfasud and the Crises Years
5. Alfa Romeo in the Fiat Group
6. Alfa Romeo Today
The author is passionate about the brand and knows his subject well. His writing style is fresh and engaging. Most importantly, it's not a rehash of what's been written before. If you're an Alfisti, you won't be disappointed.
