I own a numbers of wifi adapters of every kind but this adapter is over my expectations ! good wifi chip, impressive antenna. Alpha network is the best !
I am very happy with the +5 omni but the +7 panel antenna is even more impressive.
I was able to improve a very poor signal that caused continous connection drops to *excellent* signal with no connection drops (92% quality and 80% costant signal with the panel, starting from below 30-40%) . I only hope that the 1W radio won't burn my brain. I've bougth also the clip to attach it to the PC and it is nice.
Tried on XP but has drivers for linux, W7 and OSX.

If you are looking for a wireless adapter for use with Backtrack 5 that supports packet injection and packet sniffing straight out of the box, then this is what you need. A very cheap device that comes with an extra antenna and provides excellent coverage!

I purchased this to replace a similar device from Hawking which I use aboard a yacht to access marina based Wifi. So far the results have been very good and signal strenth is greatly improved over significant distances within marinas with many masts. It was easy to install the software and I was up and running within 10 minutes of opening the box.
