Alexander Monro studied Chinese language and politics, worked in China as a journalist, has written freelance on China, edited a travel poetry anthology on China (China: City & Exile), and worked as a China political risk analyst. In 2014 his first full-length book was published: The Paper Trail. It tells a Chinese tale, but one that has had global implications. His research for the book took several years - it also took him to China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Germany.
He continues to write freelance on China as a journalist and political risk consultant.
He blogs at 'Rulers and Writers' (rulersandwriters.wordpress.com) and you can find more information about The Paper Trail at:
