Book Description

If you want to learn about one of history's greatest military commanders and uncover some of his secrets of drive--drive that enabled him and his small army to first subdue all of Greece and then the mighty Persian Empire--then you want to read this book.

Some people like to think that geniuses are so inherently extraordinary that they navigate their journeys with clairvoyant ease.

This simply isn't true.

Greatness does not come lightly. It requires that you make sacrifices of time, interests, and--sometimes--possessions. The further you move toward greatness, the more greatness demands from you.

But all barriers yield to one mythical quality: drive. The will to persist and overcome. To never give up. To never accept defeat.

Few stories better illustrate this better than the life of one of the most extraordinary warriors the world has even known; a man of legendary ambition, will, and grit: Alexander the Great.

In this book, you'll be taken on a whirlwind journey through Alexander's life and conquests, and not only learn about the successes and mistakes of one of history's greatest conquerors, but also how to awaken a fire in your own life and adventures.

Read this book now and learn lessons from Alexander the Great on why drive is so vital to awakening your inner genius, and learn insights into the real power of purpose, how to defeat the insidious force of "Resistance" that holds us back, and more.

2.0 out of 5 stars Wasn't what I expected 15 Sept. 2014

Although there is no doubt about the greatness of Alexander and his military excursions. The books agenda was deeper. It's advice on how one could be successful if one applied a similar drive to anything. It's a mere self help book than a biography. I dislike self help books. I wanted to read about ALexander's life.

AVery well described from psychological analysis of how to reach your maximum goal, like the geniuses from the past. Only the boldest and cleverest will reach their potential level whatever it might be within their own surroundings. It was at mid-point of the book that I got to read all of Alexander the Great's achievements, by the time he had reached 35. He has so deservedly been complimented and celebrated by this Author, that I intend to hold onto Sean's writings on my Kindle. Since Alexander had confirmed he had rather have a short life than not be remembered at all, eases the discomfort of the assassination plot that was tempted on him. The brilliant success of him leading his Macedonian army to bring peace wherever he decided to land and killing thousands, whilst a hundred of his own army would have died under his war efforts, was remarkable.

I enjoyed reading the author's literature and thought he was exceedingly brilliant and cannot fault anything at all!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Inner greatness and purpose 5 Jan. 2014

Have just finished reading this as preparation for an adult education course that I am about to start. I found this book enthralling and finished it in just one day.
This has given a new outlook to doing things and the knowledge that the only thing that can me is myself.

This is a great book, not to heavy on the history detail, but enough to keep your interest. I love how Sean delves into how people tick, what makes them achieve what they do against all the odds, very inspirational. Will look for more books by this author.

Really loved this book. I also read Nikola Tesla written by the same author Sean Patrick, which made me down load this one also. So glad I did as I learnt a lot reading it and thoroughly enjoyed it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor 28 April 2015
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
A badly written and historically poorly presented work. The beginning says it all, full of irrelevances and too much the author and not the subject. I see now why it was so cheap as a Kindle book. Don't bother is my advice and instead obtain and read a more authoritative and worthy biography.

3.0 out of 5 stars Neither what I expected, nor wanted. 19 Feb. 2015
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I had expected a fairly comprehensive account of the life of Alexander; this is not. It's a vehicle for promotion of a theory of the author, of what makes Greatness in Humans. If this is what you want, fine, but for me, it was a waste of money.
