This is a pretty good sports biography of a genuine genuis. It's a suprisingly frank (although I wouldn't say totally honest) book...
What I really liked about this book is that wholesale chunks of interviews with his wife and others are included giving their side of Higgin's apologetics, you don't often find boks where the subject allows his ex-wife and others to give their side of the story.
This book gave me real feel for the kind of person Higgins is, what motivates him and how he thinks...
My gripes with the book were the rather dreary photos, the fact that Higgins knows where the establishment's bodies are buried and doesn't get stuck in, and the woefully sub-standard quality of the writing...
When buying this book bear in mind that the book only covers up to 1986 and you'll miss out on some of the real fireworks that kciked off as his career fell apart over the next few years afterwards...

Quite good and very funny at times. But he is in love with his own self-importance.
