It was inevitable that eventually I would end up buying the Alessi sugar bowl and spoon together with the milk jug, having fallen in love with the matching kettle and teapot previously. I now have my eye on an Alessi tray, obviously.

These are gorgeous things you don't really need, you just want them. It feels a bit decadent to spend money on such things, but all the Alessi items I own earn their keep - good looking, stylish, practical, really well made and in daily use. These are last-for-ever things of beauty, you'll never get tired of them and the milk jug and sugar bowl are so, so cute. Just give in and buy them.

nice shape and size. the little spoon is sweet too. shame the lid doesn't click on, it just balances on top.
