We have had 2 of these now and both have had the same problem with the whistle falling apart....this happened on both kettles within a month of using them. Amazon have now refunded us on this item and we will not buy another one because of the fault

This is a beautiful object to have in your kitchen and boils water efficiently on our induction hob, although my sister-in-law who also has one reports that it's too slow on a ceramic electric hob. The only minor flaws I could name are that it's not easy to tell exactly how much water is in it, and you need to know where not to hold the whistle as you remove it to avoid a burnt finger (this is obvious after you've got it wrong once). I won't spoil the surprise by revealing what the whistle sounds like, but it is guaranteed to put a smile on your face!
Looks good with a great surround reflection but the noise is annoying as it sounds like a steam train when boiling. Also, the handle and spout top are in black plastic which cheapens the feel of the product. It does look good on our induction hob though!
