The Alessi Apostrophe is a tool every fruity person needs, there is nothing more frustrating than not being able to get in to your orange. Made from stainless steel and shaped like an apostrophe. The pointy part of the hook penetrates the orange peel with out popping the orange itself. A wonderful little piece of art, Alessi style.
It looks just wonderful as an amusing little ornament, but even better, works to leave your orange with a lovely design on it. Fill the gaps left with some dried cloves and you have a wonderful Christmas decoration that not only looks great but smells devine.
Called 'Apostrophe' as that is just what it looks like an apostrophe.

This is a great little thing. It's smaller than I expected, but practically that's a good thing - it'd be unwieldy were it any larger. It is nice & sharp, makes clean cuts and allows you to cut almost any shape. Negative? You need to peel the rind off afterwards which has varying levels of success, depending upon the piece of fruit in question.
But - I've subsequently been complimented on the decoration in my cocktails.

Alessi rocks!
bought as a birthday present ,now I want one too. Once my friend had opened the box, we sat in the restaurant peeling an orange, very arty result, too good to eat.
