A great book, really a must-have for anyone not only interested in van Eyck's work but in architecture in general. Has lots and excellent graphical documentations (readable and large drawings along with good photographs and sketches by van Eyck) and explanitanions of each of his buildings and proyects by the dutch master himself. Published with the architect's collaboration this book offers a detailed whole view of his proyects and also his ideas and poetics ( the dialetics of the "twin phenomena", relativity, etc); completed by texts van eyck wrote for the Forum magazine and the CIAMs. I strongly recommend this book, which I believe with Strauven's Shape of Relativity to be the only monographs on the architect, both excellent books being this one more practical than Strauven's.
