The AlcoSAFE KX6000S Pro Breathalyser is a fantastic, unique addition to the premium breathalyser market, featuring an easy-read Tri Colour Safe System (Traffic Light System) that lets you know when you are safe, close or above the alcohol driving limit. You can't get it wrong--red, amber and green lights accompany any breath reading, displayed alongside a clear digital readout on a no-nonsense easy-read display.
Most breathalysers will simply give you a digital readout of breath alcohol sample, leaving the user to interpret the reading. The AlcoSAFe KX6000S features cutting edge technology to ensure an accurate result every time. Advancements in sensor reliability and accuracy have been merged with an easy, one-touch menu control.
EVT - Electronic Flow Check Technology, One Touch Menu Operation, Selectable Display units, Auto Shut Down, Error Sensing Technology. Cheaper breathalysers do not offer many of these features, meaning that you may get an inaccurate result due to lack of error sampling protection.
The AlcoSAFE KX6000S is supplied with a smart, compact protective carry pouch, meaning that it will fit snuggly into a pocket or handbag and is ready for immediate use. Accurate, sleek, reliable.
The AlcoSAFE KX6000S is calibrated in BAC% - the UK/Eire limit showing as 0.08. The European limits (vary by country) but will show as 0.05 BAC% but the user can change the display units to show mg/l or promille if required. The red alert level can also be changed by the user.
WARNING: There is no 'safe' alcohol limit. A breathalyser should only be used as a guide to your level of intoxication. If you have consumed any alcohol you should not attempt to DRIVE OR OPERATE MACHINERY. The exact concentration of alcohol in the blood of the test subject cannot be accurately determined by using any breathalyser device. Correlation between breath alcohol content and blood alcohol content depends on many variables. The manufacturers disclaim liability for incidental, special, or consequential damages of any nature. Periodic recalibration is specifically excluded from the manufacturer's warranty.

Bought this as a gift for my husband who is a professional driver and can't afford to risk being over the limit the morning after. He has had other breathalizers, all were very complicated and gave results in all sorts of different measuring units. This one is very clever - you get a traffic light read out along with a more accurate digital display. We are both hopeless with decimal points and Maths so the red/amber/green light is a great pointer.

I am a sucker for good reviews and the alcosafe certainly has a few. I don't drink an awful lot but do enjoy a few glasses of wine at the weekend. A good friend of mine recently lost her licence having been breath tested on her way to work. She had been at a party until the wee hours but thought she would be okay to drive - WRONG !
This frightened me and so as peace of mind I thought I would invest in a decently priced breath tester.
I am very content with my purchase, seems to be reasonably accurate and I feel comfortable using it, As has been said many times, the traffic light system works a treat - no green light - ditch the keys !
The only minor criticism was that it arrived promptly but with a slightly crushed box, inside was all well thankfully.

I must admit that I am always very loathed to give anything 5 stars, but I was sorely tempted with this. Opted for 4 stars instead as box a little damaged on arrival (hamfisted postie ?) but internally all well. Freaked out by a mate who got pulled over last wewek and breathalised at 8.00am on way to work !! Thankfully he was clear but can't be too careful this time of year. I can now see why these are selling well and some other comments refer to Amazon being permanently out of stock. I like the fact that you can vary the 'alert' level according to the manual ie you can set it to give you the BIG RED LIGHT at any level you want. I have set mine to half of the UK limit which I think allows a sensible margin, it was already preset at 2/3rds. Lots of accompanying warnings with it saying the only safe limit is 0, agree totrally. Will be buying more for family I think but will wait a month or so just to check that it still works fins after Xmas !

Easy to Use
The alcosafe is easy to use and to understand. Seems to give an accurate reading and handy to check that you are not over the limit the following morning.

Worth the money
