This phone looked great! I tried three shops to get it, and found one for £9 from Argos.
Even though it has a camera, bluetooth, and plays MP3s, it fails to function as a phone! It has worse reception than my Siemens A60 or the Nokia 1110, and the latter was black and white.
So yes, it looks nice, the keys are easy-ish to press, but it's absolutely useless if its connection to Virgin is random. There's no pattern to its failing reception, and I've contacted Virgin and they've confirmed that there is no problem with their signal. To give it the final test, I used two SIM cards in the above older phones, and the older ones both got receptions where I could send text messages quickly whilst the Alcatel 600 (because that's what this is) only showed 'Emergency'.
A lovely concept, and could be good if you just wanted a camera and MP3 player as both function without a SIM inside, but I needed a phone.
