This album boxset is as cheap as six pints of beer! so it's well worth it in terms of value. I picked it up for £22 which works out about £3.70 per album!
The albums themselves are timeless classics that contain classic motorhead songs like 'Overkill', 'Bomber', 'Ace of spades' etc that is essential listening. Out of the five studio albums my favourite is still Overkill, closely followed by Ace Of Spades, then Bomber. Iron Fist contains some fantastic songs but is let down by the production , while Another Perfect Day is different that has some mid tempo songs with Brian Robertson providing great guitar solos. And the classic live album No sleep till hammersmith sounds fantastic that went straight in at no.1 in the UK charts!
Furthermore as another reviewer on here stated the albums themselves come in a cardboard pack (a bit flimsy) with photos inside the sleeve. There are no b-sides or extra tracks, and there is no album booklet but the album artwork remains intact. I think it's nice listening to the original albums as they were intended to be heard, and if you are a completist you can always purchase the reissued versions later. There are also double disc deluxe editions of these albums too with b-sides and live tracks that if you have the time and money could be worth looking into, especially if you love the band.
Finally if you are still deliberating on whether to get this box set or not I would recommend you get it if you are just getting into the band as this could be a great starting point for you! And it will save you money aswell for it will probably cost you about £35-£40 getting them individually (the reissued versions). Also check out their new album 'Aftershock' recently released, which is fantastic! Rock out :-)
