After seeing this book in marrakesh airport celophane wrapped and priced at almost �150 i could not wait to get home and order it on amazon, on its arrival i was not dissapointed, its now one of my favourate books, full of colour photographs charting a career and development of a style so acomplished, every page has an inspirtional interior, object or colour. for anyone wanting a reference of how islamic and oriental object and style can be used in a european manner this is the book. excellent !!

This man is literally a genius. The scope of his visual gift is matched by his taste and knowledge. This book opens the eye to the "other world" of traditional decorating. Anyone wanting to broaden their feild of thought from the same old "english-french-italian" repetoir will love "Orientalism.
