I brought this item back in Jan 2010, at first I was please but after a month or two it began to freeze whilst watching live TV, I returned the item for a identical replacement.Whilst this appeared to clear up the freezing aspect, unfortunately this model would miss parts of programs during recording, or "stutter" during play back. I have since purchased a new Digital Stream recorder and whilst it is not as user friendly as the Alba it appears to be free from any defects. Sadly although it is very cheap I would not recommend the Alba, my father also had to return his identical model, twice! as his also came with defects.

Great item and does what it needs to but sometimes very slow! And sometimes freezes then have to unplug to restart it.

Bought a re conditioned one as there was such a price difference and on settup it failedThe company where not easy to get a response from but when i did get to the right person it was swapped straight away and the second unit is still working 8 or so months later
