I bought this having searced for ages for mini cake tins. I followed the instructions to the letter. The mix ozzed out of the bottom & was all over the oven and spilled over the top. Granted I probably put too much mixture in the first lot, but reduced this in later batches, eventually getting the measure right. But no matter what I could not stop the mix from oozing out of the bottom. In each batch of 16 I was lucky to 3 or 4 decent cakes and I'm an experienced baker. I agree with the previous review, they are a pain to prepare and to clean, if the results warrented the effort I wouldn't care, but unfortunalely they don't. These tins are now out of harms way in the loft. So I'm not sure how a person makes the perfect mini cake??????

Utter tripe. You are much better off using a pastry cutter to cut your cakes out of a normal victoria sponge. These were a pain to prepare, horrible to wash up and a pain to store. Nightmare!

I purchased this item so I can make individual mini cakes and it works wonderfully! I have many more recipes I want to try in these tins. Though it may look fiddley to clean it really isn't, I just left it all to soak in soapy, hot water in the sink and any residue simply slides off and a quick wipe dry and they are as good as new. I do own a couple of other Silverwood tins and they are very long lasting and durable. Highly recommended!

Good for mini cakes
Thjs is a very good compact solution to cooking multiple mini-cakes. Best used with parchment to ensure ease of removal when cakes are baked.

Great Mini Cake Tins
These mini cake tins are great for fundraising events and other occassions - I used them for Children in Need day at work and they looked really effective when decorated

Fantastic
