Anodised aluminium alloy is an extremely efficient heat conductor, resulting in even heat distribution during baking and reduced cooking times. Anodising effectively seals in the aluminium, in much the same way a non-stick coating does, which gives the bake ware easy release and easy clean properties.
The Silverwood 'Eyecatcher' Brownie pans have a sliding draw making removing of the finished baked item as easy as possible. With a depth of 2 these trays also lend themselves to variety of uses from biscuits, tray bakes or pies. I have used this item 4 times now and it is an excellent piece of kitchen kit for those who like their baking. Instead of greasing the dish, I cheat even further by placing non stick plastic sheets into the base, so the brownies or whatever else I have made just slide right out with even less washing to do!

I bought this tin about a year ago as it's the size I use the most for baking. The design is superb for easy access, although if you make a variety of cakes, you may want to reconsider. Be warned, don't make flapjacks in this tin - you'll need hammer and chisel to get them out (whereas in previous tins, no problem).
Soft, spongy items seem fine but I would agree with other reviewers that it's probably best to line this tin.

Bought two of these tins (different sizes) at the same time, and there is no doubt that the quality is top-notch. My niggle is that there are tiny gaps in the four corners and runny mixture can leak a little through them. Also have to be careful lifting the tins out of the oven as the slide out end will just lift straight up and wreck the cake. Have got used to this now but would probably go for loose bottom tins next time rather than slide out. Excellent prduct though, no regrets about buying it.

Good product
This product is well made and make's life on the baking front so much easier to get your brownies out of the tin. I use a none stick mat liner with this tin to make it doubly easy.
