Product Description

Product Description

This collection of articles is about Alan Clark, the Conservative politician. These articles are Peter Bradshaw's lampoon of this infamous womaniser in his "Evening Standard" column, which was sued by Alan Clark.

From the Author

The spoof Alan Clark diaries which caused the Tory MP to sue
This book is the collected version of the spoof Alan Clark diaries in the London Evening Standard which so enraged the famous lothario and MP. The Sunday Express says "this is one of those rare books that really does make you laugh out loud". It's an ideal Christmas stocking-filler!

I first became familiar with the work of Peter Bradshaw through the hilarious Radio Four series 'The Skivers', and it's good to see he has lost none of his touch. The book crackles with wit and humour, and I have embarrassed myself in a variety of public places by laughing out loud. Whether or not you know or care about the real Alan Clark, the character that comes across here is a genuine comic monster. Thoroughly recommended. But I did think it was written by the real Alan Clark.....
