Absolutely the funniest show you'll ever watch - I dare you not to laugh at the John Barrowman Interview! - brilliantly indulgent viewing and non-stop belly laughs. This is a must have for any Al Murray fan. My only gripe is that almost all of the music and bands are missing from the dvd, even though they were usually pretty good. Bring on series two!

Like Al Murray's material and watched all three series when it was on TV, so I decided to buy the first series to relive the classic British pub humour that Al is most famous for. Great guests on the show, although for copyright reasons I suppose none of the music guests who play at the end are not included. But overall good buy

Let me start by saying I'm a mad pub landlord fan, the TV series is absolutely brilliant, and some of the shows are sure to be classics.
However, this DVD set has proved to be somewhat of a disappointment. For reasons unknown to me at present, none of the music scenes are included, so all Queen fans should avoid this set for sure!
The TV show format is fantastic, but this DVD set is badly let down by this exclusion.
I would love to buy all The Pub Landlord shows on DVD, but I won't buy any more if the music is not included, as with this Series 1 subset.
What is on the DVDs is great, but I'm finding it hard to recommend this set as it is not an exact copy of the series that was shown on TV.

Wooden acting, bad scripts, wrong choice of actors and Julia Sawalha what have you DONE? I bought the box set - 37 episodes. I'm determined to finish them one day, but it pains me each time I put one on. NOT good comedy. NOT comedy.
