Absolutely the funniest show you'll ever watch - I dare you not to laugh at the John Barrowman Interview! - brilliantly indulgent viewing and non-stop belly laughs. This is a must have for any Al Murray fan. My only gripe is that almost all of the music and bands are missing from the dvd, even though they were usually pretty good. Bring on series two!

I went to the live recording for this show on 23 September, and Al was on cracking form. A full-bore 1 1/2 hour performance with no interval, and the audience was in stitches throughout. Now I am pre-ordering to try and remember half the gags where I was laughing so hard!

Let me start by saying I'm a mad pub landlord fan, the TV series is absolutely brilliant, and some of the shows are sure to be classics.
However, this DVD set has proved to be somewhat of a disappointment. For reasons unknown to me at present, none of the music scenes are included, so all Queen fans should avoid this set for sure! The TV show format is fantastic, but this DVD set is badly let down by this exclusion. I would love to buy all The Pub Landlord shows on DVD, but I won't buy any more if the music is not included, as with this Series 1 subset. What is on the DVDs is great, but I'm finding it hard to recommend this set as it is not an exact copy of the series that was shown on TV.
