The Red Arrows took delivery of the British Aerospace Hawk trainer in the autumn of 1979 and during that winter the pilots converted from the Gnat and worked up a display using the new aeroplane in time for the 1980 display season. Since being introduced into service with the Red Arrows, the Hawk has taken the Team on tours across the world. This gift set includes glue (Humbrol Precision Poly Cement), paint brushes and 8 Humbrol acrylic paints.

Using this model to try and get my boy interested in these sort of things and although it is definately to difficult for a 7 - 8 year old we have some good fun building this together. As it is slightly bigger scale it also helps with appreciating the detail and being a Red Arrow makes it easy for my boy to compare it to the real thing which he recently saww at a Air display whilst on holiday.

Bought the kit to keep 6 year old grandson occupied before Xmas. We had great fun putting it together and painting it rather badly but he's only 6. Would have been helpful if it had said that the kit contained paintbrushes since I bought some separately

The product is a skill level two, not three as described above. i'm disappointed because I spent ages trying to find a plane for my partner, who was specifically after a level 3 model. I'm sure the product itself will be good and the paints are a nice addition.
