The Focke Wulf 190 was one of the outstanding fighter aircraft of World War two with over 20,000 being manufactured. The Fw190 D were nicknamed the "long-nosed Dora" because of the lengthened nose that was an improvement from the A series.
This is a plastic model kit which requires construction and painting (paints, glue and brushes will have to be purchased separately).

Having watched James May make his Spitfire based on the Airfix kit I made the Spit with my young son then he wanted more so this was our second model. Its the same samll scale 1:72 and as such has some fiddly parts. It is however quite a faithful kit and glues together quite well. The paints and glue will more than double the price of the kit and the camouflage is very difficult to reproduce accurately (but here are some stencils available if you shop around to make this easier but at more cost).
As a plastic kit, this is not a toy but a model to be made and displayed. Older children and adults are the best market for this product as young children will not find it easy to make and paint but it can aid the child to research history of ww2 or fighter aircraft and flight in general.

Great model but it was a bit fiddly for my seven year old. Unfortunately, one of the wheels had a little bit missing so wouldn't attach properly but we got round that.

This model took me, a relative novice, roughly an hour and a half to put together, paint, and apply the transfer, not including drying time for the glue and the paint. It looks really nice when built and painted. Please note as with most airifx models, glue, paints, and paintbrushes are to be purchased separately, but the transfers are included.
