The A320 is a fly-by-wire marvel that is rightfully acknowledged as one of the most successful aircraft in civil aviation history. With a flight deck unlike that of any other airliner, the A320 presents a unique challenge to reproduce it accurately for Flight Simulator. From the unique side-stick control systems to highly accurate and detailed modelling, including reflective texturing, glass effects and fully animated parts, this is an expansion like no other. There is amazing panel detail, with highly detailed "glass" cockpit features, complete night lighting and a virtual cockpit. Most aircraft systems are reproduced, including Primary Flight Display, Flight Control Unit and Navigation Display. There's jaw-dropping exterior modelling, with parts including flaps, slats, spoilers, flexing oleos, revolving wheels, as well as fully detailed gear and bays.

Amazon Verified Purchase
This is one of the best add ons for FS2002 I have come across! However, do not buy unless you are well up to date on flying and the associated lingo. As an Air traffic Controller in real life, I managed to get airborne within 20 minutes. Programming the flight management computers took the longest but were easily understood if you were 'in the know'. I think the average person would be swapped by all the technical detail and without some sort of Flight Planning documents you will struggle. It is possible to fly around like the original Fs2002 aircraft, but that is not what this is about. Still a comprehensive effort and as close as you could hope for on a PC based simulation.

For serious simmers only this is arguably the most realistic Flight Simulator add-on ever developed. It is complicated, but not on the same scale as others like Pilot in Command 767. The flight dynamics are superb, and the MCDU (not FMS by the way, this is an airbus) is thoroughly accurate. When users learn it properly it is one of the most user-friendly aircraft out there. As in the real Airbus, large flights need to be programmed, but do not under any circumstances believe this aircraft does not fly well manually. On the contrary it is a joy to handle. Nothing intercepts the localiser like this aircraft and I would recommend it to serious simmers without reservation.

We experienced something close reality, when we first stepped into those amazing Boeings made by Phoenix Simulation Software. PSS amazed us with the 777-200, the 747-400 (with a nice Cathay Pacific Flight Deck tour VHS) and the 777-200 V2 Panel (one of the most realistic panel ever). Now PSS strikes back with this amazing a320 series with an incredible set of diferent liveries. We can fly the a319, a320 and a321, with nearly 100 diferent liveries (Only 40 are included, but we can purchase any other from the PSS site). With full moving parts, night lighting, full 3d cockpit, Realistic Sound package for the CFM and IAE engines, excellent FMC, an onboard FMS for SID/STAR display, Load Edit and that extra realistic textures makes this add-on the Number One for FS2002. Five manuals with charts and maps are included in the package. Enjoy the Fly-by-wire feature and engage the ultimate Airbus experience. For those demanding Virtual Pilots it's a must have. This will be the very first realistic airliner for FS2002, with the quality we are used to have with PSS and Just Flight. Just one warning : LAND BEFORE THE FUEL RUNS OUT!!!
