Fly the Air Hogs Blue and Black Vectron Wave around with little more than a shake of the hand. Using innovative new infra red technology , the Vectron Wave is an awesome flying toy that you control using only your hands ! On its own, it hovers at a set height, ready for you to fly it around the room, and peform awesome tricks with it. You can also play "catch" with a friend, either with throwing gestures or with the attachable handle . The Vecton Wave charges from the special charging unit , which has an emergency shut-off button to stop flight immediately. As an additonal safety measure, the propeller automatically shuts off when something tries poking into it, preventing damage to fingers. The Air Hogs Blue and Black Vectron Wave is an ingenious flying toy that boys of all ages will love playing with. Air Hogs Vectron Wave also available in Red and Black , and Yellow and Black . Avoid this at all costs!
Not cheap, we had to wait some time which just heightened the excitement of my two boys.....
Finally it arrives, big rush to open it and set it up and utter disappointment within a matter of minutes.
The toy just leapt up to the ceiling, bashed into it and followed the ceiling til it hit the wall and came crashing down. Then proceeded to batter the table legs, chairs etc and wouldn't shut off from the remote.
In the bin within 15 minutes, I would not recommend this to my worst enemy!
Would have given zero stars, had that been an option!

I purchased this for my niece's son (great nephew??) who is 9 years old and he loved it - I thought it was great too.
It worked really well but you should make sure you read the instructions first - there is a "start-up sequence" the thing needs to go through (without it being touched) before it will hover successfully. Once that's done it's brilliant the way it floats and is absolutely fascinating. You can also throw it and do a few tricks - all-in-all pretty good fun. However, after 5 to 10 mins it will stop and need charging up again, which takes about 30 minutes each time. The charging unit needs 6 x AA batteries and we don't know yet how many charges we might get out of them and there does not seem to be any mains adapter option and so it might get a bit pricey going forward.
On the whole - great fun - but only in fits and starts and only for in-doors use (any slight breeze would probably send it spinning off).

This toy worked out to be a lot more expensive than if I bought it here, however when my son got it he was more than happy with it and plays with it a lot. He charges it and recharges it time and time again. As does his older brothers. Very happy with this toy. :)
