In all of these artistic activities, Guy remains deeply connected with the cultural history of his African-American history. The soulful depth and inspired nature of his studio work can also be found on this new live recording, which provides more striking evidence of the man's unique qualities as a singer, player and storyteller, while Radio Bremen's famed concert hall once again provides perfect acoustics.

Along with Mark Murphy (bass) and Nerak Roth Patterson (electric guitar), this wonderful gig included original songs alongside Blues classics and Bob Dylan's exquisite ballad "Sweet Like You."
