Aiptek D20 3 Oct 2010
I have been very pleased with this product. It is particularly good in having a variety of uses. The only slight drawback is that it is not very bright and one is required to draw the curtains in a hall when it is in use. The idea of being able to mount an illustrated talk without requiring a computer and separate projector is excellent. I suspect also that the light source will last longer than the very expensive lamps in normal projectors.

This product is fine if you understand that you will have to view it under the same conditions as in a cinema with a near total blackout to achieve the desired effect.

It will also need an extra set of external speakers to enhance it.

That said with extra speakers and in a darkened room it does have a cinema like quality projecting a large picture and is fun to watch.

If you want something to bang out an instant picture under lighted conditions similar to watching a TV this is not for you.

Works well for me 22 Sep 2011
I use this primarily as a projector and it works fine for me. I don't understand the complaints of not being able to see the film unless it's in a totally dark room- most people watch films in the evening or when it's rainy/cloudy outside, so if you're watching films at these times in the day, just close the curtains. No-one I know watches films when it's blazing mid-day sunlight outside. And yes, it isn't cinema-quality surround sound, but I have no issue with the sound at all, it goes to perfectly loud and clear levels for my flatmates and me. So altogether, not a bad little system at all, but take some advice:
1) Watch it when it's dark outside
2) Put the thing on a flat level surface/shelf, so it's not rocking about or slanted!
