The name Dave Brubeck is often featured in a select list of legendary figures that includes Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald and Miles Davis. Brubeck belongs in this pantheon of figureheads because he led a popular quartet in the 50s and 60s which not only had the biggest jazz hit of all time, Take Five (1961) but which also epitomised an elegant, cerebral form of jazz which managed to smuggle all manner of profound and exciting music into the consciousness of an unsuspecting public.

I've always been a fan of the Dave Brubeck Quartet and this double CD gives me a lot of my favourites without the problems of vinal. There is one bad point I have to bring out though. Where on earth did they find track 13 on disc 1 (Serenade Suite) and track 9 on disc 2 (Schizophrenic Scherzo)? Neither of these tracks have anything to do with the Dave Brubeck Quartet, they're played out of tune, they sound extremely amateurish and I can't think why they're included at all. Delete these two tracks and you have a gem collection of the Quartet.

it wont, The information is zilch , All it shows is the track number but no
title or identification of players . (That is with I Tunes) I havnt tried it with Windows
Media !!!!!! yet. Maybe when i burn to my my playlist on w/ media it may identify
