About the Author

Daniel Linden has been involved with martial arts for over 50 years. He is a 6th degree black belt in Aikido (Aikikai) and a teacher in his own school. His books On Mastering Aikido and Journey, On Mastering Ukemi are classics in the field and available from all the usual suspects. The Aikido Mystery Series with Sensei Parker is Mr. Linden's attempt to generate interest in Aikido, as the art has lost a great deal of popularity over the last couple of decades and he sees the mystery series as a chance to bring it back before the public's eye. They are also a hell of a lot of fun to write, he says. His literary novel, The Content of Character has been praised as a masterwork and depicts the life of a man suffering from Asperger's syndrome as he tries to deal with the American dream and his own struggles with normalcy, racism, and brotherly love. When not involved in the study and teaching of Aikido Mr. Linden builds guitars and mandolins in his workshops in Florida and Maine, where he has a small farm. He travels with his wife Laurie, and dog, Gibson. Daniel Linden served the public in municipal security and has been on assignment with the F.B.I., FDLE, multiple police agencies, and has been billeted with the United States Secret Service under three presidents. He is retired now and writes full time when not sanding maple and spruce in his workshop. All books are available (or will be soon) in Audio format, e-book format, and in print.

Aikido Au Revoir, I hope not 28 Dec. 2013
By Frank - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This is the 5th in the series and I hope we are not seeing its end as the title may suggest. I found this book to be the best of an excellent series. I especially enjoy seeing old friends appear in Dan's works and often wonder who will show up next. I was only saddened by the, to me, sudden ending when I wished it would have continued for many more pages. Dan's writing style is captivating and I anxiously await his next book.

Magnifique! 29 Dec. 2013
By Arne H. - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Parker in France! Another thrill ride through the French country side as Parker takes on the bad guys in Europe. You can practically smell the truffles, choke on the Galuioses and taste the baguettes dipped in local cold pressed virgin olive oil while Parker beats the thugs at their own game. Stop what you’re doing, grab this book and a nice bottle of red wine (or café au lait) and a chaise longue and plunge in. This should be the book du jour simply because it is a coup d’eclat extraordinaire!

Daniel Linden has done it again!

I just can't get enough of the Parker mysteries series, and this one is a standout. The characters come alive and leave you wanting to spend more time with them.
I hope "Au Revoir" doesn't mean "Adieu" 2 Jan. 2014
By W Bradley Gardner - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
You don’t have to be involved with Aikido to appreciate this book, but those who are will feel right at home here. As you read this latest Parker Mystery, you can practically feel the cobblestones of ancient towns in the French Riviera underfoot. You can smell the delicious aromas of the quaint cafes and bakeries as well as savor the intricacies of local wines.
On what starts as a routine working vacation, Parker discovers a simple theft and suspects that it has its roots in an old international crime. His investigation leads from town to town among the scenic hills along the Mediteranian Sea.
A great read, I can’t wait for the next Parker Mystery from Mr. Linden!

Like all the Dan Linden books I've read previous to Aikido Au Revoir, I've never been let down. Parker continues to deliver the action and entertainment that is expected from Lindens books.
