Bought these wellington boots to replace an old pair of Hunters. Just spent a weekend on the Somerset /Devon border and walked over 12 miles in these boots. Ground was so wet, I left my walking boots behind and chose to walk in my new wellingtons. Found them comfortable even in difficult terrain. I did worry about what size I should choose but opted for my usual shoe size. There was room enough in the boots to comfortably wear a pair of thick socks.

So I decided that I wanted some new wellies for Xmas for walking the dogs. I had thought that I'd get some Hunters but after reading numerous bad reviews on them, I looked around & came across the Aigle Parcours 2. In line with other comments, these are without a doubt the comfiest wellies that I have ever tried. I usually don't like walking in wellies as they are hard under foot, you normally have to put on extra socks so your feet don't turn into blocks of ice, the boot always seems in dig in above the ankle when your walking & unless you're in ankle deep mud, the grip on the sole is non existent. Not so with these beauties. Sad I know but I'm actually in love with some wellies. The rubber is soooo supple, the foot bed is soooo comfortable & they've got super chunky grips underneath. I was unsure on the sizing as I'm a UK size 6 and they only come in a UK 5.5 or UK 6.5 so ordered both to be on the safe side. The UK 5.5 is actually an EU 39 which is (and always has been) a UK 6 in my books so they were the best fit. The only reason I returned them was that I went for the Parcours ISO version with the neoprene lining as I always have cold feet. For only a few quid more than Hunters, these are way more superior. Can't wait until it's muddy on my walks!!

Having tried Hunters and cheap garden centre boots, which all developed splits after about a couple of years, I decided to spend more for better quality. Tried Le Chameau first, but their ladies boots were too tight for my wide feet – thank goodness for Amazon free delivery and returns! Moved on to Aigle, and this unisex style, which is perfect. They are a good height (almost knee-high, 'Bronze' is a beautiful subtle dark greenish colour, and they are nice and roomy for my feet. In fact they are so roomy I wear them with an insulating insole and an extra pair of socks, which also keep my feet warm. I'm usually UK 7.5, but bought these in 7.

They have a good solid feel to them and the rubber feels much more substantial than that used by Hunters. Hopefully they will last and last!

Having got a dog in the autumn, I was looking to buy a decent pair of wellies for walking in the woods and on the local common, to replace my current pair of Dunlops. I discounted a pair of Hunters, as everybody wears them around where I live and I was also advised that they are not proper wellies and don't last very long - the shop where I bought these Aigle wellies say they have more returns on Hunters for quality defects than any other welly! The initial make I was looking at was Muckmasters, however I couldn't find a pair that fitted well enough even with a combination of the different pairs of socks I have. The shop then recommended I tried this pair of Aigle. I couldn't believe the difference in the feel of the Aigle welly versus the Muckmaster. The Aigle is so much lighter, much more flexible and so much more comfortable - I couldn't believe that a pair of wellies could be so comfortable!! They fit smugly on the leg with a pair of jeans on. They are not thermal wellies, therefore I bought some thermal socks to go with them. I use them nearly every day and I could not be more pleased with them - I am trying to persuade my wife to have a pair as I am telling her she will never want to wear another pair of wellies ever again once she tries these on!

I've always bought cheap wellies. To be honest, until recently, I've never really been that outdoorsie. Last Spring we bought a puppy. I've relied on hiking boots through the Summer, and added gaiters in late Autumn, but with the Winter we've had, it wasn't enough.

I checked all of the reviews for different types of wellies and came to the conclusion that Aigle were what I wanted. Being notoriously tight-fisted though, it wasn't until these came up in the sale that I decided to take the plunge.

I should have done it months ago. Comfortable walking the dogs (4 or 5 miles), up and down slopes, through mud and water. They haven't faltered once.

I bought these one size larger than my hiking boots, and that allows for a thick pair of socks. They are perfect on the calf for me, but for anyone with generous calves you should think twice. I understand that the Parcours Vario has adjustable straps to help. I find these boots warm, and haven't needed warm socks yet. I had wondered about buying the ISO with the neoprene lining, but for me they would certainly be too warm. To be fair, I haven't been out in them in less than about 4 celcius yet.

Great boots. Absolutely love them.

My 18-year-old Hunters finally gave up the ghost, so I needed replacements. Having read reviews that newer Hunters weren't as hard-wearing as the 'original' ones, I opted for Aigle Parcours 2. I'm normally a size 37 (UK4) with slim calves, so ordered a 37 on the basis of reviewers' comments. Unfortunately, the Parcours are quite a lot bigger than a 'normal' 37, I would say and unfortunately, I didn't realise this until I wore them outdoors (so difficult to gauge when just walking around the house!). I didn't see many other reviewers say that they came up big, but they do, so be warned. Should've ordered a 36... Have tried insoles, which help a little, but will also need to use thick socks, which isn't ideal when my feet get hot. On the plus size, the sole feels really comfortable and 'spongy', and with the right socks, will probably be good for lengthy walks.
