Aifric Campbell 's new novel ON THE FLOOR was longlisted for the 2012 ORANGE PRIZE.
Her third novel, ON THE FLOOR, is inspired by 13 years working on the trading floor at Morgan Stanley in London where she was an MD. THE SEMANTICS OF MURDER is based on the unsolved murder of a controversial mathematician at UCLA and THE LOSS ADJUSTOR tells the story of a young woman haunted by childhood tragedy. Her short fiction is included in the 2011 anthology NEW IRISH SHORT STORIES. Aifric was born in Ireland, studied in Sweden and lives in the UK.
She holds a PhD from UEA and teaches at Imperial College.
