This colection is one of one of the most precious books in my collection. Too much science fiction focussed on very similar ideas. Mckenna deals with ideas of reality as Dick does in much of his work. Mckenna deals with it in a more interesting way not possessed with Dick's inner demons. The writing is at times flawed. The first story in this collection is over heavy originally twice as long as the version in this collection. Other minor faults (including the fact that it is v difficult to track down a copy of this) prevent me giving this work 5 stars. Anyone who tracks this down will be glad of the effort.
Mckenna is an author who deserves to be better known, deserves a reissue of his SF work. Fiddlers Green is amazing.
