This sleek item has already brought a lot of joy to my mother, for whom it was a Christmas gift. She is not a great fan of gadgets, so the white frame made it more attractive than the usual black for her, and I found it a simple job to load some 300 photos so far - and still the onboard memory is not full.
I mostly scanned in a variety of colour and black and white photographs, from the 1960s to 1990s, and then copied some digital photos to it as well. For scanning, I just used my all-in-one HP printer's scanner, which only has a resolution of 200 dots per inch but was very easy. It did an excellent job and I think to most people the results look absolutely fine on this 10" screen. Because the photos are bright by virtue of being electronic, they have a new life compared with viewing paper copies in an album in any event.
One tip: for black and white photos, still scan them in as if they are colour - do not select the "grey scale" option on scanners. For some reason the frame simply skipped any grey scale photos, not showing them at all.

The instruction book and menus for this product are among the worst I have ever seen. Very very hard to decipher, with symbols in the instruction book that are microscopic. I found using it to be extremely stressful and nearly threw it into the bin.
