Good game,nice graphics,but only 1 campaign. Microsoft could have spent more time adding a few more campaigns, this has only 1 split into 3 acts. I completed the game in 3 days,that's how easy it is. But still worth the money. If you like RTS games then this is a must for your collection. Microsoft have assured me that AOE 4 will be released in UK within next 12 months and it has loads more campaigns.
Check the specs to make sure it runs on your PC, it will not run on any system below 1400 processor and 64bit graphic card.

The packaging of this game is amaziing. It comes in a qreat quality box, and comes free with a brilliant hard cover book, a making of dvd which is great, a 26 song cd, several manuals, a history book with stratageys, and a demo to share with your freinds! oh yest, and the game itself which is also good.
Graphics: Iam playing on a pentium 4 3gh processer, 1gig of ram, and a radeon x300 graphics card, and the game looks amazing. Iam playing at high resolution with all options turned on and it runs fine. On lower resolutions it looks just like age of mythology only with fantastic phyics. Even on lowest setting, the fighing on this game looks great. In ship battles debris flys everywhere. In all, it looks fantastic on all settings.
Sound: Re done versions of the classic themes. The developers have obviously speant time here, and it shows. The collectors edition comes with a cd, so great value for money.
Entertainment: Just like a simplified version of the origonals really. If you liked those, you will definately like this.
Gameplau: if youre a fan of the origonals, this will keep you going for a long time. It has a good campain mode.
Overall, if you liked the origonals, you will like this. Its just the same really, but with mind blowing special effects.

I suppose this is the type of thing for gaming buffs and collectors (hence the name i guess) - i only purchased it at the time as it was the same price as the standard boxed game, so what the hell!
lets be honest - it doesn't enhance your experience or improve the game in anyway. however the books are good to past the time, the strategies booklet i would argue against, but the music CD - love it!!
in short it is a nice collectors lot, i doubt it will make any money in the future but its a bit of fun. in my mind - if you are aiming to purchase the game and the standalone 'normal' edition is cheaper - buy that instead!

anouther triumph!
