Review

An invaluable resource to anyone who has an interest in the settings in Agatha Christie's books. (Devon Life )

Ms Macaskill handles her material with elegance and a light touch. (Country Life )

Place was always important to Christie and Devon provided many of the setting for her mysteries. Hilary Macaskill weaves them into the narrative of this gloriously illustrated book as she explores their influence on her writing. (Good Book Guide )

A must for Christie fans but also a good read for those interested in the social history and interiors of a bygone age. (Country Living )

With photos of Christie and her family, including rare archive material, Hilary Macaskill's tome sheds light on this prolific author and her faded upstairs-downstairs era. (Image Magazine (Eire) )

Greenways 23 Mar 2010
Format:Hardcover
Having visited "Greenways", Agatha Christie's home on the River Dart, I was intrigued to read a more complete version of 'her life at home'.

It is a most interesting read and will appeal especially to anyone who has visited "Greenways" or is thinking of doing so.
