Chuck Norris, film star makes no bones about his impoverished youth or his drunken father. Every detail, written extremely well, is detailed in this excellent book. The courage and determination he portrayed throughout his life is so much more than he could have ever achieved on screen in the greatest of movies. This is a must read and highly rated memoir along the lines of "Nightmares Echo', "A Paper Life" or "Running With Scissors"

This is a roundhouse kick of a read. A life enhancing story that made me laugh and cry from one page to the next. Chuck Norris can write as well as he can act, totally awesome.

Now don't get me wrong, I am a huge fan of Chuck Norris and have been since a small boy and first watch the epic final battle between him and Bruce Lee in Way Of The Dragon.
But although this book starts well by half way through you want a little bit more depth. It skips over huge parts of Chucks life and hardly mentions most of his films, I would have loved to here story's about some of the actors he has starred with, and considering Walker Texas Ranger ran for 8 years. You would expect some interesting and fascinating facts and story's, but no there's nothing.
There's no denying Chucks life has been a struggle and I have tremendous respect for him for everything he has achieved. But I really was disappointed, and was left wanting more.

As a big fan of Chuck Norris, I was bound to enjoy this, and I did. He is a very humble man, considering what he's achieved, and rightly very respected by millions
