"Afterglow" is an album of rare Crowded House tracks and was released after the band broke up. Overall the album showcases the talents of a truly unique and original band merely by the fact that the tracks they deemed were unworthy of being included on their albums are really as good as anything they had ever released. The majority of the album features tracks that were recorded during the "Woodface" sessions, so their greatness does not come as a surprise as "Woodface" was one of the bands best albums. The album is quite brilliant, with it's overall sound being typical of the laid back rock tracks that has characterised the rest of their albums, however although this slow rock is the base for the album's sound, the album does get more innovative and creative and you see the band taking a lot more risks, than they did on any of their official releases. The highlights of the album include "You Can Touch", "Anyone Can Tell", "Recurring Dream", "I Am In Love" and "Private Universe", which are tracks that would've been a welcome addition to any Crowded House album. Overall it's a great album and is a must for any fan of the band or any fan of good rock music
