a gem of a cd! 7 Oct. 2008
By Ramiro A. Gill - Published on
Format: Audio CD
(as i listen to this cd yet again while unpacking just after a move to a new place of residence and stumbled across this cd)...

When i got this back in 97 I never realized how much i would treasure this compilation. Its one of those cds that becomes an audible tattoo so to speak. It reminds me to past memories that you made while chilling with your friends after a long night, or on the drive home from a stressful day of work. Even just the times relaxing and listening. From the beginning intro to the last beat, i have been hooked time and time again, as i let it take me on a journey. Thank You Mixmaster Morris! Your skills and track selection for this mix have created a timeless cd i can listen to over and over again.

Oops - Wrong Album 1 Aug. 2000
By Rob Lightner - Published on
Format: Audio CD
I wrote the review below believing this page referred to After the Flood, vol. 1, which I suspect is no longer in print.
Volume Two is, I believe, composed and performed by many of the same performers (notably absent and lamented is Sage's Marc Olsen). Two discs, one more song-oriented, another more ethereal and ambient, comprise the set, which includes several loose-leaf art pieces. The packaging is somewhat irritating, but that's a small complaint compared with the praise I have to give the music. While Volume One had a basement tapes feel to it, this has a stronger studio/producer presence, though the sense of listening in on someone's private despairs and elations still holds.

Incredible italo disco throwback sound from an exciting, new NJ label 28 April 2008
By En Trance - Published on
Format: Audio CD
Fascinating new label out of New Jersey is focusing on incorporating retro sounds into new, glamorous synth pop acts. Their two female vocal led bands, Chromatics and Glass Candy, offer up some exciting new twists on electro pop, with sultry vocals, and dark, italo disco like backing melodies. There's also Farah, whose spoken word tracks are laced over building italo basslines.

My favorite track on here is the vintage 80's electro sounding track, Lady Operator, complete with robotic vocals. Professor Genius also lends some instrumentals and it all adds up to a solid label compilation, with absolutely no filler. You will also want to search for the limited issue CD albums by Glass Candy and Chromatics, titled Beatbox and Night Drive respectively.

1 Glass Candy - Rolling Down The Hills
2 Chromatics - Hands In The Dark
3 Indeep - Last Nite A Dj Saved My Life (Mirage Remix)
4 Mirage - Lady Operator
5 Glass Candy - Computer Love
6 Professor Genius - La Grotta
7 Chromatics - Killing Spree
8 Farah - Law Of Life
9 Chromatics - In The City
10 Glass Candy - Miss Broadway
11 Mirage - Lake Of Dreams
12 Farah - Dancing Girls
13 Glass Candy - The Chameleon
14 Professor Genius - Pegaso
Superb ambient music 7 Jan. 1999

As the title suggests, this is a cd for the "morning after" a night of hardcore dancing. There's nothing more melodic to ease that transition from night to day. When our first copy was damaged, we had to order a second copy right away.
I love this cd 29 Dec. 2012

I love this cd. I love this band. Intro is unusual and cool. Their version of Running up that Hill is effing amazing. Soooooo much better than Kate Bush. Discoelectronica at its finest.
