4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but could be better 28 Feb 2013

After reading "Lysergic", there is no doubt that this book could have used some extra writing. The first part of the book is in the form of diary entries and is simple and easy to read through. Many ideas are interesting, including questions and thoughts on how a lot of people act nowadays and how they could, with their will, act in a more mindful and safer way. There are some ideas which are not fully explained, such as the 3 levels of consciousness. If there was a little more written to develop some of these ideas further and give the reasoning behind it all, could have been worth a five stars.

I found the research papers at the end of the book to be a lot more interesting and thought-provoking than all else. They are Krystle clear. And support the fact that "All drugs are bad" is a very misguided judgement, and many legal ones are much much worse, like tobacco and alcohol. Psychedelics Do have potential for relieving the illness of the Ego and helping to overcome some addictions in the right circumstances and with right attitude to life. Well written and informative.

I love the original book covers, and hope to see some more releases in the future.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating 12 July 2012
By Gregory Folken - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
After The Trip gives the reader even more insight into Krystle Cole, a fascinating individual who experienced life's highest highs and lowest lows and lived through a relationship that came to a physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually--abusive end. It is inspiring to think of the strength, courage, resilience, and love required to come back from such a life--not only to move on, but to effectively integrate the massive amount of knowledge learned and share that with the world by writing highly personal books, making videos, and creating an informative website NeuroSoup, dedicated to harm-reduction. I highly recommend After The Trip to everyone.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worthless 19 Jan 2010

Dismal. At least the author manages to get across how poor she is (can't even afford medicine, Boo Hoo!) and how you can contribute money to her website. She actually tells the reader how she cries when she gets critical reviews. Sorry Krystle. I am not attacking you, just objectively evaluating your work.
