I really enjoyed reading this book. Excellent plot, well written and lots of interesting characters.
The last chapter was totally unnecessary - it didn't fit with the rest of the book and added nothing. Oh well - still a good read.

I love this story. It's humorous, it's moving - and it's full of twists and turns and tension. Heroine Clio is funny, kind, and a devoted mother, but she doesn't realise how much she has going for her. Like so many women she's a bit overweight, and thinks she has become dull but as a reader I was rooting for her all the way, as were her close friends Laura and Charlie, and her dotty but delightful mother, aptly known as 'Mad'. New novelist Vicky Gemmell gives Clio a really rough ride. When her marriage is in jeopardy, Clio is tempted by the glamorous Walt, and unused to the attention, she nearly makes a huge mistake. But fate has a big shock in store. I don't want to give the story away, but be warned, you will have trouble putting this book down. I did.

I really liked this author's style which kept the story moving at a great pace. The story took many twists and turns and I found it difficult to put down. I look forward to reading more from this writer.
