An outstanding tribute to the British Blues in the best tradition of Peter Green. However, in this CD I feel that Gary is even better than his hero Greeny. You can also feel the influence of Tommy Eyre pushing through in more than just the keyboards.

Here Gary has written seven original songs out of the eleven and performed them all with solid, melodic, guitar virtuosity, not one misses the target. This has the feel of the musicians playing what they themselves want to play After Hours; there is a deep enjoyment, even a savouring of the runs and licks.

Why has this CD been hidden away? I only knew to look for it because I had heard a friend's copy.

You might also like to take a look at the double CD After Hours/Blues for Greeny or just the excellent tribute to Peter Green Blues for Greeny.

This is Still Got The Blues part 2. The quality of songs isn't quite up to its illustrious partner but the guitar is still scintillating. That isn't to say the songs are bad, far from it. Story Of The Blues has a solo to equal Gary's (and ANYONE else's) best. Worth the entrance price alone! The second and last of Gary's rocked-up blues albums. Brilliant stuff.

I have listened to this album over and over since I bought the original in 1992.

It leaves you in little doubt that Gary Moore must be one of the greatest blues (and rock) guitarists ever - he has complete mastery. His vocals are good too. I've never understood why so few peoplw seem to have heard 'After hours' - whenever I play it people ask - who is this? - and love it!

In a time when exceptional guitar players are sadly almost as rare as the dodo, Gary Moore should be seen and heard more (sorry for the pun!!).
