This book, and the other two in the series, will encourage young and less advanced pianists to give jazz a try. The arrangements have enough in them to make you think you are playing "proper" jazz but are simple enough to master without too many technical problems causing people to give up.
They have given me many happy hours at the piano and have encouraged me to tackle more difficult jazz styles and make a start on playing my own jazz versions of popular pieces using Pam Wedgewood's chords and rhythms as a guide.
My only complaint is there are only three books in the series and a million tunes still needing her imput

If you can't play jazz, this is an excellent way forward with familiar tunes such as Blue Moon, The Lady is a Tramp, New York, New York
