Fans of The Bluetones will not be disappointed:like their previous singles,'Afterhours' is catchy, with an infectious piano melody.Once again, the voice of Mark Morriss is perfect. But the melody! It will not leave your head & you won't mind it if it stays there a long, long time.

Blueones back at last 30 Mar 2002
Format:Audio CD
After a long period away from the charts the Blueones have returned with a blistering new single. Quite possibly the most underrated band England has seen in the last 10 years. With their ability to create catchy, quirky tunes with ease, only the most hard hearted of critics could say they don't deserve a place in Indie folklore. A great mix of story-telling and rifftastic guitar jangly melody makes this single a must buy for all 'tones fans. Check out the cool version of a Barbara Streisand song on CD2.

The Bluetones were always on the verge of being mega successful but never quite seemed to makeit, prehaps they were too unique or, indeed obscure but they always made infectious music and this single is a gem. With its Gene-esque nod to the love of a drink. The provides a cheeky wink to all those who have enjoyed the modern 'speak easy' lifestyle with lock in at the friendly, local boozer. Great piano riff and a real sense of fun in the playing great to have them back. A Smashing pastiche of Bugsy Malone is the video to accompany this song as well.
