Product Description

Product Description

The deluxe edition is the top of the range model. It has a brushed stainless steel body, a thicker stronger shaft, a new water resistant seal, and a new longer lasting motor. It also comes with a matching brushed stainless steel stand is perfect for keeping your aerolatte frother ready to use

Working directly in the mug or glass, the stylish aerolatte® milk frother takes just 20 seconds to turn a small amount of hot or cold milk into the perfect froth for cappuccinos, caffè lattes, mochas and speciality coffees as well as hot chocolates, malts and milkshakes.

The aerolatte® milk frother's innovative, registered design incorporates a whisking head made of food grade stainless steel, which, unlike traditional drinks mixers, can turn all the milk into rich, thick foam. It's only 8 ¾ " (22cm) long and is easily transportable.

The aerolatte® frother works so well that it's used by a variety of celebrity (and down-to-earth!) cooks across the world. Nigella Lawson, writing in Vogue magazine, says the aerolatte® frother is "quite one of her favourite toys" and as a result, she "no longer drinks white coffee unfrothed". When you are convinced, you'll want one for home, one for the office, one for holidays and another dozen or so for gifts.

Product Description

No heat. No steam. Just take some milk. Pour it into a jug. Whisk it up with this aerator and in seconds you have super light sticky froth to spoon into your coffee. Who needs Café Nero when you've got one of these in the kitchen?

I wouldn't normally review this type of item but I can't resist recommending this excellent gadget to the world at large. Nigella is quite correct, the Aerolatte produces damn near-perfect frothy coffee and proves that those expensive machines are an unnecessary expense!

Here's what you do: 1/3rd fill a mug with milk, nuke it for about half a minute or so in the microwave. Meanwhile, make up a cup of black coffee in your preferred manner. Take the warm milk out of the microwave, Aerolatte-it for 20 seconds and pour the coffee over the milk straight into the mug - et voila, un creme parfait (as they might say in France)!

Highly recommended!!

Perfect froth! 26 July 2009
By KK
PROS:
1. Takes less than 30 seconds to create 1/3 cup froth from 1/3 cup hot milk
2. Works equally well with skmimmed or full-fat milk
3. Froth is reasonably rich (creates small bubbles, not the huge ones that air out and die and shrink the froth in no time!)
4. The stand is awesome - it looks good, prevents the frother from damage (it is a relatively delicate product that can get broken easily if kept in a drawer with 20 other things). **I would highly recommend buying this product with the stand**
5. Good quality / durability - mine has lasted me ONE YEAR and still works like a dream. I previously had a Bodum that lasted me < 2 weeks (the body was not sturdy and the rod attachment broke when washing the front of the frother even though I don't think I was being careless) but I called Bodum and they agreed to replace it with a new one (I was pleased). The new one lasted another 2 months (with me being supppper careful this time). A little drop of water went into it and it stopped working). This time I gave up and ordered an Aerolatte. I have touched it with wet hands and it doesn't seem to be as sensitive and delicate as Bodum. I think the stand really helps - it does not get accidentally hit by things as it would if not on the stand

CONS:
1. A little delicate - requires careful handling.

OVERALL:
Extremely highly recommended. I was confused between a mechanical frother (no motor, just pumping the milk up and down) and a battery operated one. I think I made the right choice - this takes up such little space, looks so sleek, cleaning it required exactly 5-10 seconds each time. This is TOTALLY HASSLE FREE. Buy it, you wouldn't regret it.

Too weak for the money 14 April 2010
I bought the aerolatte with stand because of the positive reviews as I was looking for something a bit more powerful than your average Aldi/Lidl gadget. Ok it looks nicer but then it cost 4-5 times as much. It was stated that it had a stronger motor, but it is not more powerful than cheaper models and can only turn smallest amounts into a nice froth. The manual states something of up to 150ml as possible but no way, you can swirl it for a minute and it will not do it as the speed will decrease substantially as soon as you dip it in. I wrote to aerolatte as I thought I might have got a faulty one, but they did not care to answer. And no, the reason was not old/weak batteries, I tried 3 different sets fresh from the blister and checked charge beforehand.
So: I would never buy it again.

Aerolatte Frpther
Very efficient and smart looking. Battery life seems pretty short but the "cheap" batteries which I use may be at fault.
