I'd recommend giving this workout a few attempts before coming to a decision. It's very fast moving, with very little instruction regarding the moves - even very little warning when changing to new moves sometimes! I found the warm up useful as there was a bit of intro to some of the moves. I then followed through and joined in where I could for the 1st couple of times and soon started to pick it up although even now I do have to miss out the occasional roll or swing to be able to keep up or due to lack of space (see comment further down). However,I have previously had a lot of Pilates experience, via physio and 1-1 sports therapy, and therefore I would suggest the following should be taken into account: if you haven't done Pilates previously I would highly recommend starting with Inch Loss Pilates, also by Lucy Knight, which is a much slower, quite relaxing workout, and gives a lot of tips on basic technique. If you want a faster workout and don't have a basic understanding of pilates techniques, then I'd recommend just going for a more aerobic/cardio type workout. One more thing to bear in mind - the movements require a fair bit of room as there is quite a lot of moving side to side, lunging and swinging arms included, necessitating some furniture removal beforehand! I was quite surprised by the style of this dvd, especially following on from Inch Loss, however, I'm now finding I really enjoy it as part of a varied exercise regime, feel like I'm building up a bit of a sweat but mainly feel it in overall toning due to the pilates aspect. Bearing in mind the above provisos, I'd definitely recommend.
