This book offers a good introduction to the physics of sailing yachts and the use of scientific methods for their design. It offers a compilation of useful information: from aero-hydrodynamics to tank testing, CFD and performance prediction.
I almost awarded 3 stars to this book due to its very poor book design. It really feels like reading some slightly polished university course notes. Equations and some of the pictures are pixelated, plots appear to come from different sources and the general page layout could be greatly improved by a competent book designer. I look forward to the second edition.
